It’s hard to remember a time in my life when photography didn’t play some role. I’ve always thought that capturing life’s moments—both big and small—is so important because as much as we may try, even some of our most precious memories can fade with age. But with a few clicks of a camera, I can help preserve a smile, a laugh and even someone’s spirit for years to come. It’s both a tangible and emotional gift, and I feel so fortunate to be able to give that to my clients.
With every shoot I schedule, my goal is that everyone feels comfortable and natural in front of the camera. The photos you’ll look back at fondly for years to come aren’t the ones that are stiffly posed. They are the ones where a smile has just cracked, where a belly laugh is about to burst and where you can feel the joy in someone’s eyes right through the film. It’s the unplanned photographs that are often the best, and I pride myself on spotting those special moments and capturing them for you.
I graduated from The University of Missouri with a journalism degree with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. Since my time in Columbia, I’ve worked in Advertising at digitally-focused agencies. My 9-5 has helped my flourish as a designer and photographer by pushing me to think more creatively and from many different viewpoints, ensuring that all clients feel like they receive the absolute best care and finished product.
I have extensive experience shooting families, babies, high school and college seniors and weddings and through my passion for photography I’ve continued to expand into other creative areas and projects. From calligraphy and hand-lettering, to wedding album design and logo creation, it’s all about listening to a client’s vision and using my creativity to bring that vision to life. If you have any kind of project in mind, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to chat more about it!
Whatever beautiful memories you are about to make, I am ready to help you capture them.
